Gordon K. “Gordy” McElroy

Senior Vice President, National Security Sector


Gordy McElroy manages SRA’s national security-related work, which spans the intelligence community (IC) entities; the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security; law enforcement organizations at the national, state and local levels; and other federal agencies with security-related missions. He is responsible for the design, development, implementation and operations of mission-oriented systems, solutions, services, products and offerings. He previously served as deputy director within this business sector.

McElroy joined SRA in 2008 after spending more than 20 years at Lockheed Martin where he served as vice president of Commercial and Federal Networks & Communications. He was responsible for the design, delivery, operations and maintenance of networks and communications systems for international and domestic customers ranging from commercial to the federal government in both the terrestrial and satellite communications markets. He also directed the development and deployment of information technology solutions to meet existing and emerging customer requirements. Prior to this, he was vice president of Intelligence and Homeland Security Systems.

McElroy received a Presidential appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy and graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Science. Following eight years of active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps and various Naval Special Warfare Units, McElroy began coursework for a Master of Business Administration at Cal State University in 1987.
